With a passion for bridges, Mr. Charlson directed his career path towards firms that enabled him to gain experience in bridge design. Today he has completed designs for new and modifications to highway bridges, made repairs to steel and wood truss-type bridges, and performed bridge inspections while working in the bridge departments for he City of Cincinnati, ODOT District 8, Burgess & Niple, KZF Design and at CDS/CT Consultants. Additional education in LRFD super structure design was obtained in 2010 at the University of Cincinnati with the completion of CEE620 - Steel Bridge Engineering design course, and in 2014 with the Federal Highway Administration course for the Design and Fabrication of Curved and Skewed Steel Bridges. In 2001 Mr. Charlson’s bridge experience earned him the qualification to perform as an ODOT Level I Bridge Engineer which was reconfirmed in 2013.
